Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends is the first expansion for Dynasty Warriors 4, as with all Xtreme Legends expansions it has its own content to separate itself from the vanilla game, but to have all the content from the vanilla game Mixjoy is needed. Unlike [[[guide:dynasty-warriors-3-xtreme-legends | the previous Xtreme Legends title]]] they had better foresight and this time you can get all the content without needing the vanilla game, however mixjoying with the vanilla game will have harder AI in the original content.

Level 10 Weapons

This will list the requirements to get the characters Lv. 10 weapon as well as strategy if one is needed, these are an alternate method compared to the vanilla version if you mixjoy you can choose which method to do.

• The characters weapon must be Lv 9.
• The difficulty must be set to Hard or Expert.
• The stage won't be listed, but it is the characters Legend Mode unless you are going for an Edit Characters weapon.
• Be careful if using the Lightning Orb for elemental attacks as it can take your kill which won't count for weapons.
• If using 2 players as long as one player meets the requirements the weapon will appear.
• I never mention what Harness to use, but it will always be Shadow Harness due to not being knocked off when struck.

Shu Weapons

Zhao Yun

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Fierce Dragon
• Power: +55
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat Cao Ren, Xu Huang, Cheng Yu, Xu Zhu & Xiahou Yuan in under 5 minutes.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll + your choices.
  • Cheng Yu is Xu Zhu's sub-officer so make sure you kill him before he runs away if you beat Xu Zhu before him.

Guan Yu

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Blue Moon Dragon
• Power: +57
• Restrictions: No items.
• Requirement: Get 150 KOs in under 4 minutes.

Zhang Fei

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Viper Blade
• Power: +58
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Do not have any of Cao Cao's units clear the Chang Ban Bridge while defeating all enemy officers.

Zhuge Liang

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Peacock Feather
• Power: +50
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat Yue Ying 6 times, each time quickly enough to get a "won by a wide margin!" message.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Ice, Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Elixir, Secret of Orbs + your choice.
  • A "won by a wide margin!" message will happen if you take less than 2 minutes to defeat Yue Ying in each appearance.

Liu Bei

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Gold Moon Dragon
• Power: +52
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat 4 enemy officers in under 4 minutes while killing less than 15 peasants.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Tortoise Amulet, Peacock Urn, Bodyguard Manual.
  • One of the few stages where bodyguards are useful as KOs they get do not count towards yours. If you are in a group with peasants you will want to wait for your bodyguards to defeat them so you don't accidentally do it. If you get the cutscene with Liu Bei from killing too many peasants you will lose the weapon. Alternatively you can get player 2 to do the requirement as the KOs against peasants only count for Liu Bei.

Ma Chao

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Stallion Fury

• Requirement: Get 300 KOs in under 5 minutes.

Huang Zhong

Dian Wei

• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life, enemies only drop Attack x2, Defense x2 & Full Musou.
• Requirement: Get 200 KOs.

Xu Zhu

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Stone Crusher
• Power: +59
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat Dian Wei twice. Weapon message happens when Dian Wei arrives the third time.
  • The damage from plundering and amount of enemy Supply Captains successfully delivering their supplies doesn't matter.

Cao Cao

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Wrath of Heaven
• Power: +56
• Restrictions: No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life.
• Requirement: Before Xu Huang appears as reinforcements defeat all officers except Guan Yu.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet, Peacock Urn & Charge Bracer.
  • Xu Huang has 2 conditions for appearing 1 being Zhang Fei being alive for more than 10 minutes, the other being if any ally officer gets defeated.

Xiahou Yuan

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Enforcer Rod
• Power: +55
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Get 400 KOs before Xiahou Dun arrives.
  • The more enemy teams that pass the earlier Xiahou Dun will arrive, recommended to use an Elephant to block part of the gate that you are able to keep in view as it will not work if off screen.

Zhang Liao

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Gold Wyvern
• Power: +56
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat Ling Tong, Xu Sheng, Gan Ning & Lu Meng before Zhou Tai normally appears.
  • Gan Ning appears on the right side of the stage when 2 minutes have passed while Lu Meng appears on the left at 2 minutes 40 seconds. Zhou Tai appears at 4 minutes 30 seconds into the stage or if all other Wu officers are defeated before that point.

Sima Yi

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Dark Feather
• Power: +50
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Trigger the rain via troop killing and defeat Wei Yan in under 2 minutes & 30 seconds of it happening.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Elixir, Master of Musou + your choice.
  • I don't mention a KO count, which would be 26, due to the fact that if you use your Musou there is the chance that some enemies will get knocked into each other which will result in a kill that isn't added to your counter, rain will automatically happen if 5 minutes pass. You will want to save when the rain starts as Wei Yan can be quite hard to deal with. After getting the weapon message you can choose to grab your horse (Shadow Runner recommended) and finish by going to the retreat point.

Xu Huang

  • While the Gate Captains will respawn you only have to defeat them once. For the Gate Captain near Zhou Tai wait for him to start patrolling so you can move down and defeat it, then move North of Cheng Pu without getting spotted when Zhou Tai makes his return trip. For the Gate Captain by Ling Tong if he is inside wait for him to leave by being in the South space near it then defeat it, Lu Meng will head for it so go North to not get detected by him or Ling Tong and make your way to the final Gate Captain. If you get detected, but are able to defeat the last Gate Captain before the dialogue finishes you will get the weapon. Once the weapon message appears if doesn't matter if you get caught.

Sun Ce

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Overlord
• Power: +54
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat the real Yu Ji in under 3 minutes.
  • It is okay for the real Yu Ji to disappear once, having the item Art of War is recommended so you can use the War God Axe effect for a full minute and abuse the Imperial Seal to deal loads of damage to the real one when he returns. The real Yu Ji will run away if he got hit and wasn't defeated within 10 seconds.

Da Qiao

• Lv. 10 Weapon: Qiao Beauty
• Power: +50
• Requirement: Defeat the 3 Loyalists' prior to the rockslide trap in under 1 minute of their appearance.
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
  • If Sun Ce kills a Loyalists it will not count.

  • The patrol has bad depth perception due to the darkness so you can walk pretty close without them spotting you, though if they do notice make sure you run away from where they patrol, the minimap is great to use during this to stay out of their range.

Lu Bu

  • The timing can be quite tight, specially because of Huang Gai who is constantly near you as he can (and will) toss bombs which will take a good chunk of your health and knock away troops if he is knocked off of his horse. You will want to get at least 200 KOs around Hua Xiong & Hu Zhen before going to where Lu Bu is to get the final amount, Shadow Harness is recommended.

Spear

  • Xun Yu is Xiahou Dun's sub-officer so make sure you kill him before he runs away if you beat Xiahou Dun before him.

Pike

Level 11 Weapons

This will list the requirements to get the characters Lv. 11 weapon as well as strategy if one is needed, you are effectively trying to meet requirements that will give you an S ranking with a grade of at least 90 when you finish the stage.

• The characters weapon must be Lv. 10.
• The difficulty must be set to Expert.
• The stage won't be listed, but it is the characters Legend Mode unless you are going for an Edit Characters weapon.
• In cases where sub officers are involved if you defeat the main officer, but still manage to defeat the sub officer who is nearby before they retreat it will still meet the requirement.
• Be careful if using the Lightning Orb for elemental attacks as it can take your kill which won't count for weapons.
• If using 2 players as long as one player meets the requirements the weapon will appear.
• I never mention what Harness to use, but it will always be Shadow Harness due to not being knocked off when struck.

All Lv. 11 weapons have Power +60 and will come with 4 items attached to them, the items can combine with your equipped ones, some may hit the cap and some may pass it refer to this section for more info. The images below will have the Dim Sum and Musou Wine locations, as well as the location of Item Boxes in the characters respective stage.

Shu Weapons

Zhao Yun

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Raging Dragon
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Find Liu Chan in under 2 minutes, defeat all officers, get 200 KOs and reach the retreat point with Liu Bei within 13 minutes & 30 seconds.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Ice, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet + your choices.

Guan Yu

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Divine Dragon
• Restrictions: No items.
• Requirement: Get 200 KOs and defeat Yue Jin, Yu Jin & Li Dian while having the Carriage in danger less than 4 times.
  • If the Carriage driver (not the soldier) calls for help the weapon is lost. Additionally it doesn't matter if you defeat the officers when they first appear or when they are ambush units. It is possible to get the weapon with more KOs and not all officers defeated as I got it with 350 KOs and only 2 of the 3 officers defeated when the Carriage left the castle.

Zhang Fei

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Venom
• Requirement: Defeat Cao Cao with no more than 1 unit clearing Chang Ban Bridge before he appears.
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
  • To get Cao Cao to appear you need to defeat the playable officers (Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Zhang He, Cao Ren, Xu Huang & Xu Zhu). While making this guide I had 1 unit clear the bridge before Cao Cao arrived and 2 after he arrived and got the weapon.

Zhuge Liang

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Divine Feather
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat Yue Ying 6 times, each time quickly enough to get a "won by a wide margin!" message, also defeat 2 of the other officers.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet & Elixir.
  • A "won by a wide margin!" message will happen if you take less than 2 minutes to defeat Yue Ying in each appearance. This setup allows for Zhuge Liang's musou to deal Vorpal damage which speeds up the process of defeating Yue Ying, if lucky you can defeat her with one musou.

Liu Bei

• Lv. 11 Weapon: King of Shu
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Within 10 minutes defeat all enemy officers with less than 4 retreat and returns while killing less than 15 peasants.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Ice, Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Tortoise Amulet, Peacock Urn & Bodyguard Manual.
  • One of the few stages where bodyguards are useful as KOs they get do not count towards yours. If you get the cutscene with Liu Bei from killing too many peasants you will lose the weapon. If you are in a group with peasants you will want to wait for your bodyguards to defeat them so you don't accidentally do it. Alternatively you can get player 2 to do the requirement as the KOs against peasants only count for Liu Bei.

Ma Chao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Last Stallion
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Finish the stage with at least 500 KOs while having double the KOs of the officer in second.
  • This weapon can be pretty fickle to unlock as it is luck based on the other officer KO counts in relation to yours. The best place to get KOs is North of the Gate Captain near Huang Zhong.

Huang Zhong

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Venerable Master
• Restrictions: No items.
• Requirements:
• Shoot Guan Yu off of his horse before he taunts the first time (30 seconds).
• Defeat all 4 enemy generals except Guan Yu and get 100 KOs.
  • Shooting Guan Yu off of his horse at the start is the real hard part for the weapon since you have soo little time and Guan Yu will tend to move a lot. This can be remedied by keeping track of where he went and going into bow view where he left the screen, when Guan Yu is visible again he will wait for a short while before he starts moving again which gives you the chance to shoot him. Alternatively you can choose to defeat 3 of either Zhou Cang, Guan Ping, Zhang Fei & Zhao Yun while getting 200 KOs after shooting him.

Jiang Wei

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Prodigal
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat Xu Zhu, Xu Huang, Cao Ren & Zhang He, also defeat either Zhong Hui or Deng Ai while keeping Liu Chan's HP above half.

Wei Yan

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Meteor Strike
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement:
• Method 1: Defeat the 3 Xiahou's before Zhuge Liang orders to attack Wei Yan (2 minutes & 30 seconds).
• Method 2: After failing Method 1 defeat all Shu officers and sub-officers, encounter Zhuge Liang and get 200 KOs.
• Suggested Items: (Method 1) Orb: Vorpal, Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll & Herbal Remedy. (Method 2) Orb: Vorpal, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet & Peacock Urn.
  • For Method 2 if you didn't defeat Wang Ping increase the KO count to 300.

Pang Tong

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Great Phoenix
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Defeat the Gate Captains at the Northwest & Southwest on the outside.
• Head into the Western weapon depot and defeat the Gate Captain then defeat Yue Ying.
• Defeat the North and South Gate Captains while also defeating the Guard Captains to take control of the Arbalest while not killing the Bombadier.
• Defeat the Guard Captain in the Eastern weapon depot without defeating the Bombadier to take the Siege Ramps.
• Defend the Siege Ramps until they have setup and meet with Zhuge Liang then get 450 KOs.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet & Elixir.
  • If you did everything correctly the troops who attack the Siege Ramps should defect to your side and you should get the weapon message at 450 KOs, if you didn't then go for 550. If your favor goes down at all you will lose the weapon. This setup allows for Pang Tong's musou to deal Vorpal damage which makes getting troop KOs easier.

Yue Ying

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Nether Realm
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat all officers with less than 2 Juggernauts destroyed.
  • Do not go too far ahead or an enemy task force will spawn, this can be really bad if you happen to be locked away from the Juggernauts. If you have trouble keeping count you start with 3 Juggernauts and gain 1 for every officer defeated, also it is okay if a Juggernaut happens to steal your kill on an officer.

Wei Weapons

Xiahou Dun

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Kirin Blaze
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life.
• Requirements:
• Defeat Cao Xing before he retreats.
• Make your way to the top right through the river.
• Meet with Cao Xing before Yuan Shu arrives and get 100 KOs.
  • You do not need to defeat Cao Xing the second time to get the weapon though you are welcome to defeat him again if you can. If you ever go to the top left before the weapon message you will not get the weapon.

Dian Wei

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Bull Rampage
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life, enemies only drop Attack x2, Defense x2 & Full Musou.
• Requirement: Defeat Hu Che Er & Jia Xu and get 200 KOs.
  • It doesn't matter how many pursuit units stall Cao Cao as long as you meet the requirement.

Xu Zhu

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Earth Shaker
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Defeat Yu Jin then his Supply Captain.
• Defeat Dian Wei's 3 Supply Captains then him.
• Defeat Li Dian then his Supply Captain.
• Defeat Dian Wei's 3 Supply Captains then him again.
• Defeat Yue Jin and his Supply Captain.
• Encounter Dian Wei for the 3rd time.
• Defeat Man Chong.
  • You will want to use the easing the AI trick for this unless you are really good with Xu Zhu and follow the requirements in order. You must make sure that no Supply Captain makes their delivery, though the 3 that come with Dian Wei's 3rd appearance are okay to let go, but no more than these 3.

Cao Cao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: King of Wei
• Restrictions: No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life.
• Requirement: Within 10 minutes defeat all Shu officers and get 200 KOs before ally reinforcements appear.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet, Peacock Urn & Charge Bracer.
  • Ride up to the left enemy Gate Captain defeat it so you have less troops to worry about. Afterward make you way to Guan Ping and defeat him hopefully before Zhao Yun follows you to help, then defeat Zhang Fei & Zhou Cang to have Guan Yu letting Cao Cao go event happen. Then take you time getting 200 KOs from remaining soldiers. Cao Ren will appear as reinforcements if you take too long to defeat Zhang Fei to secure the first Escape Point when you make your way North.

Xiahou Yuan

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Ogre Rod
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Do not get the "The main camp defense force is dwindling in numbers!" message before Xiahou Dun arrives.
• Suggested Items: Saddle: Elephant, Orb: Lightning, Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll & Art of War.
  • It is okay to left a few enemy teams pass by, but if too many go through Zhang He will comment about his formation losing the weapon, it is best to aim for non Private type troops as teams that passed can come back up to fight.

Zhang Liao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Celestial Wyvern
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Keep all Guard Captains alive until Zhou Tai appears and get 300 KOs.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet, Elixir & War Drum.
  • May need to get more KOs if Li Dian dies which he tends to never do for me.

Sima Yi

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Abyssal Feather
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Trigger the rain manually and defeat 9 of the 10 officers.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet & Elixir.
  • I don't mention a KO count which would be 26 due to the fact that if you use your musou there is the chance that some enemies will get knocked into each other which will result in a kill that isn't added to your counter, rain will automatically happen if 5 minutes pass. This setup allows for Sima Yi's musou to deal Vorpal damage which speeds up the process of officer killing. At most only 3 officers will be on the map at once.

Xu Huang

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Annihilator
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirements:
• Destroy all siege weapon in under 2 minutes.
• Defeat all officers except Guan Yu and get 200 KOs within 10 minutes.
  • Vorpal Orb is good as it can potentially one shot siege weapons.

Zhang He

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Infernal Talon
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirement:
• Method 1: Before Wei Yan stops retreating defeat him.
• Method 2: After Wei Yan stops retreating defeat Guan Xing and Zhang Bao then get 100 KOs afterward.
  • Method 1 is very hard to do given you have no items, if he reaches the gate that closes before you can defeat him you won't get the weapon from this method. For Method 2 you need to get the KOs after defeating Guan Xing & Zhang Bao, getting it before them will not give you the weapon.

Zhen Ji

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Twilight Flute
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Choose your side, defeat all officers and sub-officers & get 150 KOs.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Wind Scroll, Elixir & Tortoise Amulet.
  • Yuan Xi's side is harder due to him charging in recklessly whereas Cao Pi's side will mostly be you by yourself unless another officer (usually Man Chong) is in with you. If you defeat an officer without defeating the sub-officer(s) add 50 KOs to your total per sub-officer missed. This setup allows for Zhen Ji's musou to deal Vorpal damage which speeds up the process of officer killing and getting troop KOs quicker.

Cao Ren

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Kai
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:

Within 10 minutes

• Get Niu Jin's morale to 8 stars & defeat the 2 Gate Captains.
• Defeat all officers.
  • Niu Jin's morale goes up for every 15 KOs you get, it also goes up when you defeat a Gate Captain.

Wu Weapons

Zhou Yu

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Scion Sword
• Restrictions: No items.
• Requirement: Defeat all officers except Zhuge Liang and get 50 KOs.
  • Zhang Fei, Guan Yu & Zhao Yun can challenge you to a duel, but only two of the three will do it.

Lu Xun

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Raptor
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat Guan Xing & Zhao Yun in under 11 minutes without getting lost in the maze.

Taishi Ci

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Demon Slayer
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Encounter Hua Xin with 9 or more units and save him.
• Gather 12 units and get 450 KOs.
  • There are 15 total units you can obtain, if you lose more than 4 you will not get the weapon.

Sun Shang Xiang

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Astral Chakram
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Unite with the 4 women soldiers within 3 minutes of their discovery and have 200 KOs before defeating Xu Sheng & Ding Feng.
• Do not let Zhou Tai seal the retreat point and cross the bridge with Liu Bei.
  • Despite what sounds like a time limit you can take as long as you want. The women soldiers spotted message only pops up if you are within a range of them and the first one always joins as the stage starts. If you have less than 200 KOs after defeating Xu Sheng & Ding Feng the weapon is lost if Zhao Yun appears as reinforcements which happens if you have less than 200. Zhou Tai will retreat to the South after having half his health depleted or Jiang Qin is defeated before him. If doing this in 2 Player both players have to get 200 KOs for Zhao Yun to not appear as reinforcements.

Sun Jian

• Lv. 11 Weapon: King of Wu
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat Hua Xiong, Hu Zhen & Lu Bu as well as defeat all Gate Captains and encounter Dong Zhuo in under 6 minutes.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll + your choices.

Sun Quan

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Legacy
• Restrictions: No items.
• Requirement: Defeat Zhang Liao 3 times and get 500 KOs with no ally defeated.
  • It is best to force Zhang Liao out early and get your KOs before you defeat him the first time to help your allies survive longer since his morale will always go back up to 8 when he returns. Also you need to finish the stage by stealing a horse which Zhang Liao conveniently always comes with to get the weapon, it is okay if one ally dies.

Lu Meng

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Mystic Hunter
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirements:
• Defeat Zhou Cang then Liao Hua quickly after.
• Defeat the middle Gate Captain, then defeat Guan Ping.
• Guan Yu enraged, no ally officer defeated and get 50 KOs.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Ice, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet, Elixir + your choice.
  • You have to get 50 KO's after defeating Guan Ping. Also if allies defeat Zhou Cang or Liao Hua you will still get the weapon.

Gan Ning

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Leviathan
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Defeat Yue Jin & Li Dian before they quell the confusion.
• Defeat Cao Xiu or Zhang Liao.
• "Damage to the Wei Army is spreading!" message happens three times.
  • The confusion gets quelled at around 8:10 left in the stage. The amount of troops to defeat to spread damage isn't consistent due to variance so you need to see the message 3 times.

Huang Gai

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Shade
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards. Start with 1/3 Life.
• Requirement: Reach the Wei Ship without being discovered in under 3 minutes & 30 seconds.
  • Make your way to the center of the map while hugging the upper wall and approach the center gate from the South, when the defense force gets alerted drop a bomb and run to the right side wall while keeping them out of your sight. If you can make it past the gate before Ling Tong starts going South you can go to the Gate Captain that he started by and should move to the top left of the area and hide for a bit. Ling Tong & Lu Meng will eventually meetup and you will want to wait for Lu Meng to head back near the top right Gate Captain. When Lu Meng patrols again make a beeline for the Wei Ship after he has moved back down hopefully getting there before Gan Ning notices you and finishes his dialogue. You will want to stay near Lu Meng in bow view to keep him moving, but not too close that he comes after you.

Sun Ce

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Hierophant
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: After defeating Yu Ji's real body complete the stage within 1 minute and 50 seconds, also this must be done in under 5 minutes.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll & Art of War.
  • It doesn't matter how many times illusions appear.

Da Qiao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Mortal Beauty
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Defeat the 3 Loyalists' prior to the rockslide trap in under 1 minute of their appearance, this must be done in under 6 minutes.
• Get 300 KOs in under 15 minutes.
  • If Sun Ce kills a Loyalists it will not count. It is recommended to save after each Loyalists incase you don't kill the next one fast enough or Sun Ce takes your kill. On the last 2 Loyalists don't take the Speed Boots in the box on the right ridge of the rockslide trap as you will need it to run to the Loyalists that is further away from you.

Xiao Qiao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Fatal Grace
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirements:
• Get Xiahou Yuan to appear with more than 15 minutes left and meet up with Da Qiao.
• Defeat Xiahou Yuan & get 100 KOs.
  • Xiahou Dun, Xu Zhu, Dian Wei & Cao Ren will re-appear if you defeat them before Cao Cao's 4th appearance which eats up time, so damage them enough so you can kill them at the end. Xiahou Yuan appears after all other officers have been defeated after Cao Cao's 4th withdrawal.

Zhou Tai

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Setsuna
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirements:
• Rescue Sun Quan in under 1 minute and 30 seconds
• Rescue all 4 of his sub officers
• Defeat both Taishi Ci and Liu Yong & get 250 KOs
  • If you reach Sun Quan after a minute and half has passed or if one of his sub officers is defeated, get 500 KOs instead.

Others Weapons

Diao Chan

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Muse
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat Hua Xiong in under 10 minutes.
  • It doesn't matter if you get detected, it just makes it harder as you have to face Lu Bu. Make sure to wait for the message as you can leave before it pops up meaning you have to do the stage again.

Lu Bu

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Maelstrom
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Get 2000 KOs.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Tortoise Amulet & Peacock Amulet.
  • The suggested items may seem weird to have a defensive build rather than an offensive one, this is due to the last hit of the True Musou having elemental properties of the Orb you have equipped. This is also so that you can kill troops away from officers so that you don't kill them by accident. If you feel safe being in Red health you can switch Way of Musou for Elixir. Also apparently you need 800 KOs before Liu Bei, Guan Yu & Zhang Fei show up, though that should be no problem to do if you keep away from killing officers to raise your KO count as Sun Jian & Cao Cao will retreat after enough troops have been defeated with them around.

Dong Zhuo

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Pandemonium
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat all of the Eunuchs and get 100 KOs.
  • Yuan Shao being alive doesn't matter for the weapon, Wen Chou and Yan Liang don't need to be defeated either.

Yuan Shao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Majesty
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat all enemy generals except Gongsun Zan and get 100 KOs without prestige diminishing or dissatisfaction from Zhang He or Tian Feng.
  • If prestige diminishes once KO count becomes 200, if it diminishes a second time the weapon is lost. If Zhang He or Tian Feng are dissatisfied the weapon is lost. With the Bai Ma Calvary you simply need to knock them off of their horses to prevent their provoke to lower prestige.

Zhang Jiao

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Staff of Peace
• Restrictions: None.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Wind Scroll, Elixir & Tortoise Amulet.
• Requirement: By 8 minutes into the stage only 1 enemy Gate Captain left while having over 100 KOs.
  • If you finish the stage in under 8 minutes while having over 100 KOs you will still get the weapon. This setup allows for Zhang Jiao's musou to deal Vorpal damage which speeds up the process of officer killing and getting troop KOs quicker, C4 is good for troop KOs while anyone hit by the musou will basically be dead if you aim slightly to the left of them from your view.

Meng Huo

• Lv. 11 Weapon: King of Nanman
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Defeat all enemy officers (except Sima Zhao) while saving all allies (except Zhu Rong).
• Suggested Items: Orb: Vorpal, Master of Musou, Way of Musou, Wind Scroll & Elixir.
  • You can get an early start on Xiahou He before Yang Feng shows up, if you defeat Xiahou He before he arrives it will count as saving him. Deng Ai & Zhong Hui should not be approached until the Xiahou's have been dealt with. You don't have to keep your allies alive after saving them. This setup allows for Meng Huo's musou to deal Vorpal damage which speeds up the process of defeating the officers.

Zhu Rong

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Fire Goddess
• Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Encounter Zhuge Liang in under 4 minutes without being discovered.
  • The first messenger by Wang Ping is unavoidable so defeat him and his messenger. You can practice the level to get a feel for the layout of the Guard Troops to not be spotted by them.

Edit Character Weapons

Greatsword

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Fengshen Sword
• Legend Stage: Battle of Niu Zhu (Zhou Tai)
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirements:
• Rescue Sun Quan then his 4 sub-officers.
• Defeat Taishi Ci & Liu Yong and get 500 KO's while defeating all Gate Captains
  • If a sub-officer dies after they are all saved you will still get the weapon if you get 500 KO's and defeat all Gate Captains, Gan Ning can potentially defeat Liu Yong which doesn't disqualify you from the weapon.

Rapier

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Fengshen Rapier
• Legend Stage: Encounter at Yi Province (Zhen Ji)
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Choose your side, defeat all officers and sub-officers get 150 KOs and defeat all Gate Captains.

This is the same as Zhen Ji except you have to defeat all Gate Captains, you have to get the KOs before defeating all of the Gate Captains or you won't get the message. If you defeat an officer without defeating the sub-officer(s) add 50 KOs to your total per sub-officer missed.

Sword

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Phoenix Wing
• Legend Stage: Dong Zhuo and the Alliance (Sun Jian)
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirement: Defeat Hua Xiong, Hu Zhen & Lu Bu as well as defeat all Gate Captains and encounter Dong Zhuo in under 6 minutes.
• Suggested Items: Power Rune, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll + your choices. Secret of Orbs if using Vorpal Orb.
  • This is exactly the same as Sun Jian's weapon.

Spear

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Cyclone
• Legend Stage: The Chang Ban Run (Zhao Yun)
• Restrictions: No bodyguards.
• Requirement: Find Liu Chan in under 2 minutes, defeat all officers, get 200 KOs and reach the retreat point with Liu Bei within 14 minutes & 30 seconds.
• Suggested Items: (Spear 1 & 3) Orb: Ice, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet + your choices. (Spear 2) Power Rune, Horned Helm, Tiger Amulet, Cavalry Armor & Elixir.

This is exactly the same as Zhao Yun's weapon with an extra minute added. Sub-officers not required for this weapon.

Pike

• Lv. 11 Weapon: Obliteration
• Legend Stage: Siege of Mai Castle (Lu Meng)
• Restrictions: None.
• Requirements:
  • Defeat Zhou Cang then Liao Hua quickly after.
  • Defeat the middle Gate Captain, then defeat Guan Ping.
  • Guan Yu enraged, no ally officer defeated, get 50 KOs and defeat the other Gate Captain.
• Suggested Items: Orb: Ice, Tiger Amulet, Wind Scroll, Tortoise Amulet & Elixir.
  • This is exactly the same as Lu Meng except you have to get the KOs before defeating the second Gate Captain.

Red Hare Saddle

Effect: Begin stage mounted on Red Hare (fastest horse) Stage: Defense of Xu (Guan Yu) Restrictions: No items Requirement: Defeat Yu Jin before he retreats from battle. Location: Bottom right island. Yu Jin appears 3 minutes into the stage and will retreat after he has been up for 2 minutes which is after Guan Ping shows up.

Hex Mark Saddle

Effect: Begin stage mounted on Hex Mark (Luck up) Stage: Skirmish at Cheng Du (Liu Bei) Restrictions: None Requirement: Defeat 3 officers while avoiding the Liu Bei killing peasants cutscene. Location: Left center of the map. You will have to do your best to not kill more than 10 peasants. In a 2 Player game Player 1 can just stand around while Player 2 goes wild. The Liu Bei killing peasants cutscene happens if Player 1 kills 10 peasants and killing 50 means instant defeat, you will want to lure officers so that peasants aren't in the way of your attacks. Kills from Bodyguards do not count so you can use them to kill peasants for you.

Storm Harness

Effect: Begin stage mounted on Storm Runner (Mount Attack Lv.6) Stage: The Ten Eunuchs (Dong Zhuo) Restrictions: None Requirement: Defeat Yuan Shao before Zhang Rang escapes with the Emperor. Location: Top left corner outside of the Castle. Yuan Shao will appear once all the Eunuchs are dealt with or retreat, you will want to defeat Yuan Shao before the Emperor's carriage starts to retreat after Yuan Shao appears, if Yuan Shao isn't defeated before Zhang Rang speaks you won't get the item. Wen Chou & Yan Liang are not required to be defeated for the item to appear.

Shadow Harness

Effect: Begin stage mounted on Shadow Runner (Can't be knocked off) Stage: Escape from Chi Bi (Cao Cao) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat Gan Ning, Lu Meng, Huang Gai & Ling Tong. Location: Bottom right corner of the lower path in the top right section.

Elephant Harness

Effect: Begin stage mounted on Elephant Stage: Rescue of Meng Huo (Zhu Rong) Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat all 6 Guard Patrols without being discovered in 2 minutes. Location: North of where Zhao Yun starts. While the stage itself is very short this is very hard to get with 1 player as you only have 2 choices, those being Huang Zhong & Xiahou Yuan due to their C1 bow attacks which go far enough that you can hit a patrol before they notice you. You will want to save after killing each one (except the one you start by at the beginning) as messing up is quite costly.

Orbs

These augment your charge attacks to have elemental power and add an extra effect based on the element when you have full musou with weapons that are Lv 1-9. Lv 10 & 11 weapons will be able to use these without a full musou bar. These max at Lv 4 and increase in strength/duration/chance the higher the level.

Orb	Effect
Fire Orb	Slowly burn the enemy gradually draining their health.
Lightning Orb	A bolt of lightning hits the enemy and surrounding troops. Can potentially steal kills including officers.
Vorpal Orb	Potentially one shot normal peons, fixed damage to officers.
Ice Orb	Freezes enemies in place for a brief period.
Blast Orb	Deal small damage to guarding enemies.
Poison Orb	Lowers enemies defense for a very brief period.

Certain characters when having their Lv. 10 & 11 weapon will be able to have elemental Musou attacks when paired with the item Way of Musou or doing a True Musou at low health, these mainly effect any attacks that aren't physical hits like projectiles and shockwaves.

Shu: Zhuge Liang, Pang Tong Wei: Sima Yi, Zhen Ji Wu: None Others: Zhang Jiao, Meng Huo, Zhu Rong

Cao Ren, Lu Bu & Dong Zhuo can also get an elemental hit from their True Musou, however it is only on the final hit (the stomp).

Effect: Ability boost items have longer effect (Attack/Defense/Speed x2 will be 60 seconds, Musou Full for 20 seconds) Stage: Dong Zhuo and the Alliance (Sun Jian) Restrictions: None Requirement: Defeat Lu Bu in 2 minutes after he appears. Location: Top left corner of the center fort.

Survival Guide

Effect: Attack x2 when near death (standing up when health bar is red gives Attack x2 for 30 seconds) Stage: Defense of Jian Ge (Jiang Wei) Restrictions: None Requirement: Get 150 KOs in under 5 minutes. Location: Top right corner of Jian Ge.

Bodyguard Manual

Effect: Bodyguards become stronger (makes them more aggressive) Stage: Encounter at Jiang Ling (Cao Ren) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Join with Niu Jin quickly. Location: Along the Western wall above the Western Gate Captain.

Way of Musou

Effect: Can use True Musou Attack regardless of health (Musou will deal fire damage with an extended finisher) Stage: Ambush at He Fei (Zhang Liao) Restrictions: None Requirement: Defeat all 4 Gate Captains and get 200 KOs. Location: Along the Eastern wall around where Li Dian starts.

Power Scroll

Effect: Never lose weapon deadlocks (loss changes to draw) Stage: Defense of Fan Castle (Xu Huang) Restrictions: None Requirement: Defeat all 4 Gate Captains. Location: Top right corner of Guan Yu's fort.

Wind Scroll

Effect: Attack range increase Stage: Encounter at Yi Province (Zhen Ji) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Choose Cao Pi's army & get 200 KOs in under 5 minutes. Location: West of Cao Pi.

Fire Arrows

Effect: Can shoot fire arrows (burn targets dealing slightly more damage) Stage: Battle of Chang Sha (Huang Zhong) Restrictions: No items Requirement: Defeat Zhou Cang & Guan Ping. Location: Top left corner near the furthest left enemy Gate Captain.

Charge Bracer

Effect: Withstand attacks while performing Charge (as long as it doesn't make your character jump) Stage: Battle of Ru Xu Kou (Gan Ning) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat Li Dian and Yue Jin in under 2 minutes. Location: East of the middle left Gate Captain.

Code of Chivalry

Effect: No time limit for duels Stage: Arena (Challenge Mode) Requirement: Get 31+ consecutive victories. Location: Given after finishing in first. Your stats and weapon level are taken into account when doing Arena (thus a fresh character will have a hard time compared to one you've used a lot) so pick your best playable character for this as created characters can't be used.

Meat Bun Sack

Effect: Meat Buns appear more frequently (more healing item drops) Stage: Village Encounter (Xu Zhu) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirements: Defeat Yu Jin before defeating his Supply Captain, Defeat Dian Wei's 3 Supply Captains then Dian Wei himself, Defeat Li Dian before defeating his Supply Captain. Defeat Dian Wei for the 2nd time, it's acceptable to ignore his 3 Supply Captains this time. Encounter Dian Wei for the 3rd time. Defeat Yue Jin after he appears (4 minutes into the stage in the East), before defeating his Supply Captain. Defeat Man Chong after he appears (6 minutes into the stage or after Yue Jin is defeated in the Southwest), before defeating his Supply Captain. All before enemy plundering causes heavy damage & before 5 enemy Supply Captains successfully deliver their supplies. Location: Upper right corner from the South of the upper right fort.

Musou Armor

Effect: Wearer not stunned by bow attacks Stage: Retreat from He Fei (Sun Quan) Restrictions: No items Requirement: Defeat Zhang Liao 3 times. Supply Unit: From the middle left Gate Captain up to the upper right Gate Captain.

Master of Musou

Effect: Musou Attack deflects enemy blocks (Musou breaks guard, but drains faster) Stage: Carnage at Hu Lao Gate (Lu Bu) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Get 1,300 KOs before Liu Bei, Guan Yu & Zhang Fei appear. Supply Unit: From the bottom Gate Captain to the upper Gate Captain.

War Drum

Effect: Allied Morale goes up easier (allies can live longer) Stage: Nanman Warfare (Meng Huo) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat all Gate Captains while keeping yours alive. Location: Center of the bottom portion of the fort.

Secret of the Orbs

Effect: Orb items have greater effect (Orb Lv +1) Stage: Battle of Niu Zhu (Zhou Tai) Restrictions: None Requirement: Rescue all 4 of Sun Quan's sub generals and defeat all 6 Gate Captains before entering the castle to join with Sun Quan. Location: Below the lower left Gate Captain.

Helm of Might

Effect: Peons can't attack during "Announce Yourself." (Press down the right analogue stick) Stage: Defense of Chang Ban (Zhang Fei) Restrictions: No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Zhang He, Cao Ren, Xu Huang & Xu Zhu in front of the Chang Ban Bridge while getting 300 KOs without letting a unit pass or leaving the bridge. Supply Unit: Lower left corner that makes its ways to the right Gate Captain. Stay by the bridge the entire time basically. In a 2 Player game Player 1 has to stay by the bridge while Player 2 can venture out.

Horseshoes

Effect: Enemies receive more damage when hit by horse Stage: Battle of Jia Meng Gate (Ma Chao) Restrictions: No items & No bodyguards Requirement: Defeat Yang Huai & Gao Peo as well as defeat 3 Gate Captains within 5 minutes. Location: In between the inner rampart walls of the center fort.

Character Experience (Rank Points): Lu Bu Weapon Experience: Xiao Qiao Attack Stat: Cao Cao or Xiao Qiao on Hard difficulty (Cao Cao is safer, only Attack increase only is dropped on these stages.) Defense Stat: Zhang Fei on Normal difficulty with duels.

Easing the AI

Finding weapon hard to get due to the AI being too aggressive? Here's a way to make them less aggressive making these be easier.

Start the stage on Expert and make a save immediately, go to the options and change the difficulty to Beginner and start a different stage with any character. After the stage has loaded in battle soft reset (Start+Select) and go back and continue to your original save, enemies will now be more passive.
